Scholarships: We participate in four scholarship programs sanctioned by the NFRW. These are directed toward college age Republican Women. We also contribute to the Ronald Reagan scholarship (which is a state award for college women) and to local high school students as well.

 

Literacy: Through the Mamie Eisenhower project sponsored by the NFRW, we contribute books to local grade and middle schools. Librarians complete a “wish list” and we supply the books! Our members participate in reading programs at local elementary schools and some members participate in bilingual tutoring programs to help children excel in our schools. Members volunteer each for the “Read Across America” day and participate in Constitution and Flag Day celebrations.

 

Care for America: We provide art supplies and needed equipment to a local pre-school and donate food items to the local Community Chests. During the Holidays we collect toys at our annual installation of Officers / Holiday Luncheon in December, and distribute them to families and organizations in our community.

 

Voter Registration:  A most important part of our Club’s Activities. We have a voter / precinct Chair  who coordinates activities and acts as liaison with the local Republican Central Committee. Republican Women Federations are seen as an integral part of the GOP “Get Out The Vote” (GOTV) program. We will be especially focused on this area in the coming election year.
